Terrakota the 4th Abatar,among them Ram,Bishnu,Gouranga and Kolki. They are all the symble of different age;Satya,Treta,Dapar and Koli respectively. Artistic works are being done by Bhaskar Chandra Pal son of Birinchi Pal and others,resident of Darudih in the district Purulia.In this four days festival programe 'Naru Gopal' is the main attraction among them.

The deity of the Goddess Durga 2012

Manbazar Yogashram Durgapuja: The first Savajanin Durgapuja of Manbazar village after nearer Indkuri Sarvajanin Durgapuja. It has been started since 2009 and continued with high cost budget and many more activities in our locality every year. Actually the name of this Durgapuja is ‘Manbazar Prince Road Durgapuja’.

The main organizers of this festival committee are 170 families. They have formed a committee, Secretary is Kumares Dutta and the President of this committee is Monaj Mukherjee. This year puja budget is approximate four lakh. They have no movable or immovable properties for this purpose. Collection is made from the organizers throughout the year. Most of the families are under richest and service holder, colonialized.

The worship place is scheduled at the Yogashram, near Manbazar Girls High School. There is made a Dias by the side of the makeshift temple for cultural functions every year. Program is set from the beginning day ‘Saptami’ (7^th full moon day) to ‘Dashami’ (10^th full moon day).Varieties category of functional activities are programmed there for all. Competition is not allowed except conch and candle sticks.

The temple is made on the right side of the Manbazar-Bandwan main road.On the side of the front gate of temple there is made sign of the Goddess Durga attached the road. This year they have made ten image of incarnation of the deity of Goddess Durga. Previous year it was ten ‘Maha vidya’ (ten manifestations of the Goddess Durga) and the second year it was ‘Naba Durga’ (nine incarnation of the Goddess Durga)

Beginning year there was arranged about health and environmental science. Consciousness of environmental pollution and good health.

The deity of the Goddess Durga has been made in the imitation of ‘Ajanta’ this year. The maker is Bhaskar Pal son of late Birinchi Pal,Darodi, Purulia. Pandel (getup) imitated from the king place of ‘Murshidabad’,work has been done by Dolphin Decorators,Manbazar, light and decoration from ‘Star Decoration’,Khatra/Bankura. All planning are the thinking of the secretary Kumaresh Dutta.

The priests of this temple are Haranath Banerjee and his assistant Sajal Banerjee.

Inauguration of this worship place is done on the day of ‘Sasthi’(Bellibaran) every year. Inauguration is done (cutting red tape etc.) by the local freedom fighter Sri.Bijoykrishna Dutta. He is also the owner of this Yogashram (temple place). There is a Ashram in it named ‘Maharaj Yogeswarananad Mandir’ locally called ‘Manbazar Grammya Yogashram’.

Worship activities: The worship of deity of the Goddess Durga is accomplished as per the rituals and time table of Gor Patharmohra king’s family Durgapuja, like others worship places. They are not allowed to mix “Nabapatrika journey” of the Goddess Durga along with Patharmohra and others family ‘Dola’ who perform their ‘coming or awakening/bath’ and ‘immersion’ activities jointly. Separately they perform this work at Gobinda shyer on the days ‘Saptami’ and ‘Dashami’ respectively.

Astami khen is done hearing the sound from Patharmohra. They immolate pumpkin ,sugarcane,Ratan (large round sweet). Goat is not sacrificed here. Similar scarification is followed on the day of Nabami (9^th day of full moon).

Comment: Manbazar Yogashram Sarvajanin Durgapuja is decorated using high cost of expenditures. Maximum budget money is used for the purpose of decoration, Pandel and light compairing other Durga temple. The place is large for enjoyment, the environment is worship able and charm full. We can stay there with friends and relatives for a while by the comment of reliable visitors Piyali Sen, Mousami Sen and Bibekananda Das.
