Jharbagda Uparpara Madhyamghar Durga worship:
This
is more than 130 to 135 years old deity of the Goddess Durga worship place.It
is family worship.Sadananda Mahanty father of Srinath and Sitanat Mahanty had
started this worship earlier time. Shayamaparashad Mahanty,Joytindranath
Mahanty,Banamali Mahanty,Baridbaran Maanty and Gosthabihari Mahanty are the
five son of Srinath Mahanty.Sililarly Trailaksha Mahanty,Hansadhaj Mahanty and
Hemchandra Mahanty are the three son of Sitanath Mahanty and their family
members are arranged worship of the Goddess Durga every year by their self
donation and the income of immovable properties which are all in the name of
Goddess Durga.
A pond and 8 bigha cultivation land in the
name of Goddess Durga is the main source of this durga temple.They got 25-30
thousands rupees from their properties at present rate every year.In this year
puja cost is approximate 45-50 thousands.
The
Durga icon is made by Surendranath Pal and his family member from the earlier
time.
Dhak
(drum) comes from Chepua ritually.
